True?

Is this too good to be true?

Our national founders are quoted as to have said,

“We have given you a (Democratic) Republic… “

“[It] is only fit for a moral

and religious people…”

Being a moral people carries with it the idea of fairness. That means a level playing field for all, and an equal chance to have your ideas heard. The beauty of our Constitution and Amendments are that the small Native Church of America or a lone atheist having the same right to be heard as the large Roman Catholic or Southern Baptist churches. Yes, we are Christian and conservative, but our goal is fairness and a vehicle to share ideas in the hope that we all could learn from each other. I am a firm believer that the church of the Lord Jesus Christ should be governed by the Bible, and I believe our U.S.A. should be governed by the Constitution. However, I read from the far right to the far left in order that I might understand all points of view.

In the 1960s I was a trustee of a small, private, western college. They insisted on only hiring from within, no matter my arguments that they were becoming ingrown in their ideas. Over a few more years they became irrelevant to their constituency, they slowly died on the vine, and died a miserable death. This is a major problem in the U.S.A. today. To help solve the problem, we need to hear from everyone. Remember, a stopped clock is correct twice a day.
